How long will my EllaBella By Gwen tan last ?
It will last up to 5/7 days.
Is EllaBella By Gwen safe to use when pregnant ?
Yes it is safe to use during pregnancy but we recommend doing a patch test as hormone levels change during pregnancy.
Is EllaBella By Gwen ok to use on my face ?
Yes
I am a first time tanner which shade of EllaBella By Gwen should I use ?
We recommend to start with the lightest shade and work your way up if you would like a more intense colour.
I have eczema/psoriasis/sensitive skin is EllaBella By Gwen safe to use ?
Our product is formulated fragrance free with added moisturisers to be mild and gentle for sensitive skin .As everyone is different we would recommend a patch 24 hour before a fully body application. (how to do a patch is answered in the Application section)
Does EllaBella By have an SPF in it ?
No EllaBella By Gwen does not contain an SPF and we recommend wearing SPF over your tan to protect your skin.

Can I get into the pool ?
Yes you can get into the pool once the excess tan is washed off. Keep in mind the chlorine in pools will break down your tan faster.To help stop this after swimming, have a quick shower to remove the chlorine and pat dry with a towel.
How will I look after my tan while on holidays?
Moisturise daily and bring some tan with you for touch ups.
Can I get sunburned while wearing tan ?
Yes you can and we highly recommend wearing SPF over your tan.
Will I put SPF on before or after I apply my tan?
We would recommend you put it on after the excess tan is showered as if applied before your tan it will act as a barrier.And you don't want that !
When should I apply my tan for my holidays ?
The day/night before or you could apply the morning/night of your holiday and shower when you arrive.

How do I prepare my skin before tanning ?
Can't stress this enough preparation is KEY , exfoliate at least 2/3 times a week to remove any previous tan and dead skin. And moisturise daily to hydrate your skin.
When will I wax/shave ?
Wax at least 48 hours and shave at least 12/24 hours to make sure all pores are closed.
Will my EllaBella By Gwen tan transfer onto my clothes ?
After the excess tan is showered off it will not transfer onto your clothes.
How long do I have to wait before showering ?
For best results we recommend up to 8 hours if showered before that it will result in a lighter tan. And also we recommend your first shower be a light one with lukewarm water and no harsh scrubbing and pat dry with towel.
When should I apply moisturiser after tanning?
After your first shower and apply daily to extend the life of your tan
How long before I can get dressed ?
With EllaBella By Gwen tan you can get dressed straight after application as our tan is quick drying
What will I wear after applying my tan ?
We recommend loose dark fitting clothing.
Can I leave my bra on after application ?
We suggest leaving it off as it can leave white marks.
How do I apply tan to my hands and feet evenly ?
We recommend using a dense foundation brush
Should I do a patch test before applying my EllaBella By Gwen tan ?
With any new product we recommend you do a patch test 24/48 hours before application.This can be done by applying a pea size amount behind your ear.If irritation occurs discountiue use.
Will I see the colour straight after applying my EllaBella By Gwen tan ?
Yes our tan has a colour guide which makes it easier to apply and that will deepen in colour over 8 hours.
Will I feel sticky after application ?
No you will not be sticky after application as our tan is oil free .
Can I apply my tan the same day as eyebrow tint ?
We recommend that you avoid the eyebrow area which has been tinted as the tint can react with the tan and could turn the eyebrows green.
Can I do the gym/training after I apply my tan?
No this is not recommended until you have your first shower and all excess tan is removed.

Which shade should I choose for my big day ?
We recommend the lightest shade as it will give a more natural glow.
When should I apply my EllaBella By Gwen Tan ?
We recommend applying two days before for best results. And also doing this will put your mind at ease regarding transfer.
Should I trial EllaBella By Gwen tan before my big day ?
Yes we most certainly recommend you do a trial as this will help you get an idea of how it will look on your big day.
